Balcony handrails accentuate the striking horizontal lines in this north side high-rise. When the steel handrails required maintenance, DIS was called in to complete a comprehensive project of concrete and balcony restoration. This multi-phased project includes handrail repair and painting, along with related concrete repair and deck coating. Work also included repairing deteriorated concrete in other areas of the façade, removal and replacement of brick and steel shelf angles as needed, and tuckpointing. Painting and sealing exterior surfaces will complete the restoration.
